The Gardner-Webb University offers lodging for 2014 in apartments, which have 4 bedrooms and 2 baths with a living area in the middle. Most apartments have double beds, a refrigerator, stove, and washer/dryer. These will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The remaining apartments have single beds, a refrigerator, and a microwave. Please bring your own bed linens, pillow, and towels if you do not choose to pay for linens. You will be notified if you need to bring single sheets.
Please indicate your roommate preference or we will assign one. This is usually not a problem for a conference like ours because you meet interesting, like-minded people. For apartment mates, we try to put friends on one side of apartment, sharing a bath. Since you pay per person per night for the apartment, a married couple can have “their side” of an apartment with two rooms and one bath. If we have to put two couples in an apartment, each couple will have a private bath. Fire code allows only 6 persons per apartment.
Since a significant part of the conference experience is all the new and renewed relationships, much care is given to apartment and suite assignment, but apartment or suite mate preferences are honored only for registrations received within the same periods. We cannot hold spaces open.
Conference meal tickets include Wednesday dinner through Saturday lunch for the college dining hall which offers many locally grown items and selections suitable for vegetarian, diabetic, and gluten free diets. Meal tickets, which must be purchased before 19 May 2014 cost:
Adult and Children 14+ $63
Child 0-3 Free
Child 4-13 $32
After 19 May 2014: NO meal tickets available, only pay at the door meals.
No childcare is available. Any accompanying children must be under adult supervision at all times; please, no unattended children in the halls outside workshops. Only nursing babies may accompany their parents to a session and if the baby cries, please take the child out to avoid interference with recording. Each child on campus must be registered for college security and insurance purposes.
