The small lake on Ferrum College Campus

The conference this year is on the lovely, rural campus of Ferrum College in Ferrum VA, home of the Blue Ridge Institute and the Blue Ridge Farm Museum, a recreated Virginian German farmstead of 1800. The campus is nestled in the hills near the Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway.  The campus offers opportunities for leisurely strolls around the lake or hikes on the campus trail but not walks to surrounding businesses so plan for your conference experience this year to be more self-contained to the campus.   Within a mile of campus are Dollar General, a gas station/convenience store, a Dairy Queen, BB&T Bank, Ferrum Grill and Restaurant 77.  Approximately half hour away in Rocky Mount, Virginia are grocery stores, CVS, and 2 hotels (Comfort Inn and Holiday In Express.)

    • Is this the Betsy that used to live in Powell, TN? If so, we know each other. My sister and I attended the conference last year and can tell you about it also. Let me know and we can get in touch somehow.
